The golden brown needles in Rutilated Quartz are caused by the presence of Rutile or Titanium oxide. Rutilated Quartz is said to be life sustaining and to be capable of restoring a person's vitality and vibrancy. Carrying it or wearing it is also said to encourage an optimistic outlook and to help to conquer fears, anxieties and phobias. It is believed to be useful in alleviating depression and to have the power to soothe dark moods.
